There are MLM products that specifically require cold calling or soliciting an opportunity to talk over the phone. Cold calling faces the biggest challenge of rejection because the population and the situation do not present a targeted opportunity. The idea is time consuming and usually ends with talking to the wrong people who are not interested about the product or even becoming a member. However, cold calling still works for some products if you start to learn doing it right. Call the right people and achieve 50-targeted leads for a matter of one hour. Cold calling is cheaper and much faster than you can imagine.

Identify the types of MLM that require cold calling

Sales talents, sales methods, and sales techniques are great factors to consider for sales recruitment and planning. Network marketing is more on teaching people and training them to duplicate the business. You need to follow a system to prevent your sales people’s sales skills from working against them. You have better chances of generating residual income when you follow a system. Know that prospects often join an organization because of sponsorship. Sponsorship can save an MLM network marketer a great deal of work. If you can offer sponsorship, the better it will work for you to generate passive income. The idea is to call and sponsor.

One thing that cold calling can effectively help you is when the MLM program sells products related to travel and tourism. There is a good chance that these people who are interested in flying and taking a vacation would ask many questions during the first call. There are people out there who may have the right money and the time to spend for vacation but requires a little offer that would spark interest and get them to act. This is a matter of knowing where these people are and creating a good system for locating and calling them.

All MLM products may need cold calling. The only thing that matters is the approach and the timing of the call. Your call may produce different responses to different people. You need to consider their mood and the tone of their voice that may produce such unresponsive behavior. Cold calling is all about approach and timing. Write a script and teach your members to follow simple rules in cold calling. Never make your call sound too complicated or boring.

How do you build your network marketing business through cold calling?

The two keywords are build and service. Work by building and servicing your prospects. Recruit the people you know and then train them to do the same. Share the opportunity by duplicating yourself and see impressive results. Learn, have fun, and grow with your friends and downline.

What do you do when calling prospects?

· Never try to oversell. Relax and don’t let your prospect feel being pushed. Don’t let your urgency and the need to succeed for the prospect to cut your phone call. Sound bright and interesting but not overpowering.
· Refrain from talking too much in the first call. First calls are for obtaining appointment calls. You do not sell on first calls. You try to make the prospect feel comfortable and interested in meeting you.
· Sow genuine interest and know more about your prospect. The idea of making a connection matters during your first call conversation.
