We've all heard the saying," information is power" and in the world of multi level marketing there is nothing more powerfull than a MLM forum. Forums are very usefull places to gain information as well as getting your web address seen by fellow network marketers via your signature box. Yet be warned not all forums are created equal. After spending a bit of time reading through the posts on various forums you will soon see that some offer an astounding array of niches and rooms where invaluable information may be learnt, yet others turn out to be nothing more than network marketers poor attempts at dressing up their promotional campaign in the guise of a forum approach. Be very warry of doing this as the more experienced posters will recognise this tactic a mile away and you will recieve a very tepid response from them. To properly exploit the power of an MLM forum requires a bit of time to get a feel for the posts and to be able to ascertain the genuineness of the information provided. Don't hesitate to ask questions no matter how silly they might seem as long as they are genuine questions.

To start with check out some of the bigger forums devoted to multi level marketing and have a look around. Is there discussion about a variety of network marketing opportunities or does the forum seem to be devoted to only a couple of programs? The fewer options the less posters you will find attracted to the forum. Fewer posters means less information to be learnt.

The next step would be checking the age of the posts. If the posts are too old the information could be outdated and therefore of little use. Also if you are looking for answers, or need help a forum that is not visited that often will not be the best place to search. Another thing to look for is does the forum have posting rules and policies and a moderator to enforce them? This will ensure that the forum is a place of learning and encouragement where new ideas can be learnt.

The community of posters should be another aspect to consider. Hardheaded, inflexible, and unimaginative posters will offer the same kind of advice that most likely will get you nowhere in the business; similarly, flighty and unrealistic posters will not give you the reality check you need. While each forum will contain some of each, the mix should be its own method of checks and balances.The most usefull forums are those where different opinions are freely expressed, and while disscussions may get a little heated from time to time they are always kept in check. This kind of dialogue will attract a plethora of online entrepreneurs who are not afraid to voice their opinions. This in turn creates debate which is truly empowering and will most likely spur you on to bigger better things, and may well be the catalyst that will see you surpass the competition.
