The MLM Industry: Is Your Sponsor Telling You The Whole Truth?

The MLM industry, people either appear to love it, or detest it. There are very few people that find themselves on the fence. For most, opinions transform as time goes on. I think we can all be in agreement there are very few people in the world today that have not at least heard of the industry.

I did a google search on MLM in general in advance of writing this article just to see what people were saying about the mlm industry these days. To be truthful with you, most of the same opinions are out there were 20 years ago. One thing is for sure, network marketing is valid and it is here to stay.

There is a common theme from those that loathe the mlm industry, "it's a scam", "it doesn't work", "I lost money in that", "I tried that once" ect... Here is my question for you, if you sincerely want to know what it takes to be victorious in network marketing, are you going to listen to the experience of someone who failed miserably or someone who is massively successful.

Let me put it another way. Would you ask someone who couldn't pass medical school what it takes to be a brain surgeon? In all probability not, you would ask an authority who is successful in brain surgery, right? Of course you would. I suggest you do the same thing when doing your due diligence with the network marketing industry.

Now, there is no disbelief that very few have massive success. Does that mean you can't be massively successful? Absolutely not, but you must be willing to do the things that those who fail, won't. Now, notice I didn't say you needed to like doing the things that others won't. I said you must do those things others that fail, won't. There is a big difference.

The main grounds most aren't willing to do those things is because it is different from what they are used to doing. People don't like to come out of their comfort zone. Doing so is uncomfortable and it's easier to be comfortable. Well being comfortable isn't all it's cracked up to be. If you never challenge yourself, you will never obtain the life you may well have when you have massive success in this or any industry.

Like it or not, the secret to success in the mlm industry is personal growth and you have to be agreeable to put the time and effort in gaining value personally every single day. You do this through books, research, and listening to those that have been through the struggles you will go through.

Now, I know there are many people who are going to reply, "That's crap, fluff, and I'm not going to do that" Well, that's absolutely fine, but remember, nothing changes if nothing changes. You will not have new success in anything you do unless you are willing to grow personally.

Start reading autobiographies of the very successful. Not just in the mlm industry, but in any industry. The common thread is they were smart enough to understand the power of personal growth and were disciplined enough to do something about it. The successful people didn't get that way overnight, and they will admit the person that started the journey is a different person they are now because of all the growing they needed to do to be successful.

Jim Rohn said it best when he said, "Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune". You can be successful in the mlm industry if you take the business seriously, and commit yourself to growing as an entrepreneur every single day. The choice is yours. Where will you be in 5 years?
