Promotional items are a must-have for all business organizations. They are disseminated to clients, media professionals, and the general public on various occasions. They help to build and retain brand image and add a personal touch to business. Company logo is an inseparable part of promotional items.

Every business depends on clients, and one way to retain clients is to offer promotional items. For example, pharmaceutical companies can gift to doctors medical instruments, pens, books, and folders with the company logo engraved on them. Children’s books marketers can offer school bags or pencil boxes as promotional items. Similarly, cosmetics manufacturers can promote their cosmetics among women by gifting T-shirts and new samples to women visiting malls and beauty salons. Business journalists and feature-writers are often pampered by corporate houses and boutiques to gain exclusive reviews. Handbags, wallets, crystal & silver ware, mobiles, hats, pens, watches, shirts, and note pads are used as promotional items in these cases. Even NGOs are known to provide customized note pads, pens, and folders to journalists. The newspaper industry, in turn, offers promotional items to customers. Often, a yearly subscription is necessary to avail the offer. Gifts include travel bags, watches, and dinner sets.

Promotional items may consist of products manufactured by the company itself or the company may purchase products from a firm that specializes in promotional items. Mugs, clocks, greeting cards, planners, folios, first-aid kits, pens, T-shirts, mobile holders, clocks, and flashlights are common promotional items. They are customized to suit different occasions. For example, mugs gifted during Christmas could have hand-painted images of Santa and the Christmas tree. A gift commemorating golden jubilee could be gold-colored.

Most firms marketing promotional items have an online presence so you could choose from an online catalogue or request for one to be mailed to you. They also have toll free numbers and courteous personnel who can help you choose the ideal item. State your preference of promotional item or ask for pictures of the entire range to be mailed to you. Once you decide on the item, ask for your company’s logo or a special message to be engraved on it.

With competition growing in every business, strategies are essential to not only acquire customers, but also retain them. Apart from offering excellent products and services, firms can retain customers by offering gifts. These are always welcome, and there is no dearth of choices today.
