Promotional product suppliers produce and sell products that are branded in order to promote a business. This means stationary, paper, mugs and other 'gifts' or items that can be used to spread the company's brand. Promotional products are a great way to promote a business and to spread the brand. The great thing about a promotional product is that they will get seen by lots of people and find themselves working into environments you would never have been able to reach directly with more 'conventional' forms of advertising.

If your brand is successful and you have a good logo (that either incorporates your company name or doesn't) then you should be able to show someone your logo and so invoke all of the feelings and opinions and everything they know about your company. If your company performs a good service then this is free advertising and a quick way to raise the awareness of your business and remind people that it exists. This can work on an almost subliminal level even making them crave your products or service or leading them to be more likely to use them in future. Take the McDonald's logo for example- the big yellow 'M'. When you see that image you instantly think of the company, of the clown mascot, of the last time you were in McDonald's, of the press coverage you've read, and of the food. If all goes well for them you might find yourself even craving a burger or a coke. As such, simply placing your logo somewhere where a range of people will see it regularly can raise awareness. This is why company's include their name and logo on their vehicles and often offer their employees free petrol for personal use in that vehicle- driving around in the branded vehicle is free advertising. The same is true of company's sponsoring and supporting sports teams etc.

But with promotional product suppliers you can reach just as many people, if not more, with your brand and logo and also get many other benefits. Popular promotional products include mugs, mouse mats, glasses, stationary (pens, rulers, pencil cases etc), wallets, bags, coasters and many other every day items.

Say you have a mug with your logo on it then. You might decide to give it away as an incentive to subscribe to one of your services ('Subscribe and get a FREE mug!') and that would mean that you could potentially increase your sales of subscriptions as people will feel as though they are getting more for their money (and indeed they will be).

After this though the mug will continue to benefit you. Firstly, every time someone drinks out of the mug they will think of your company (and hopefully begin to associate the pleasant feeling of drinking tea or coffee with your business- association is a powerful effect). Then, every time someone comes round and uses that mug they too will think of that company (and maybe even stimulate a discussion about the mug, further cementing that association to more than a passing thought).


Many people localise a search for promotional products, for example promotional products melbourne when they are searching for promotional products for their business. But if you order just a batch of stubby holders for example, it is not a big deal where they come from.
