Pre Launch MLM Opportunities: Are They Just Empty Promises?

Pre launch mlm notices appear to be coming out of the woodwork on a daily basis. If I get another "Ground Floor Opportunity" call I might completely throw up. Now I recognize this is the land of opportunity and new businesses are what keeps us strong...But, let's not go overboard with the buildup.

Everyone seems to think that if they can just get in on the ground floor, their troubles would be over. I was guilty of jumping on that bandwagon myself in the past. Come to find out, you nevertheless need to put the work into building a business if you desire to be successful. You still need to have the perseverance and determination to succeed, and sometimes it's even more complicated to build a network marketing company that's brand new.

I can almost hear the spears flying by my ears as I type, but let me explain my point before you burn me at the stake. Just because an opportunity is in pre launch doesn't make it a bad business either. After all, Amway was in pre launch at one time, right? My point is this, look at every opportunity individually and take the phrases, "Ground Floor" and "pre launch" out of the equation.

Look at the company itself. Is it a longstanding brick and mortar company that is just moving on to direct sales as a way to generate more business? There are several businesses out there that have done that and been massively successful. Be careful of those companies that just throw a pay plan together, and then go obtain some fruit juice or crappy no use product to promote just so they can say they have a product. Those are the type of companies that give the mlm industry a bad name.

Another huge question to ask is who is behind the company and what do they stand for? What is their motto? Are they trying to make a clear change with the opportunity or are they just interested in lining their pockets?

What about the product? Ask yourself if you would in reality buy the product if there was no opportunity attached to it. If you can honestly say that you would, then the company in all probability has a good product and it may be a good fit for you.

These few questions seem to be very simplistic, but many times are by no means asked when a new pre launch mlm company sprouts its head. The excitement of getting in on the ground floor overshadows good business common sense. So do your due diligence when that "next great ground floor opportunity" comes around. It may be just what you're looking for, but make sure you are joining a stable company, with a solid product, with long term potential. This will give you the greatest chance of long term residual income.
