Network Marketing is a Game

Network marketing is an awesome enterprize model. There are actually approximately 500,000 people that enter in to this industry every month. All of them arrive having their own dreams, goals and desires. Some will have immediate success, the inescapable fact is that 97% will fail.

This has a lot to do with how they are taught to market. They're typically taught out-of-date, slow methods in comparison with whats currently available. That is not the new reps fault though. When someone is building their business, they are going to be experiencing great highs and even great lows. The emotional journey hits all of us, the quicker you can get to managing the roller coaster, the better off you are going to be long term. What really helped me to get over the emotional beast was to realize this one little secret.

Network marketing is a game

After you really grasp this, the stress will be off, no more desperation, no more puking your opportunity on others. You'll start having fun, and after fun, the money follows. The thing is that, if you haven't already heard, people don't join companies, they join people. More to the point, they join people who they like and trust. Your mission will be to increase the amount of trust and respect from the "prospect" to you.

To make this into a game, just think that everything that you do in your marketing strategy has a point value assigned to it. The more points that you score, the more you will be perceived as someone who your "prospect" likes and trusts. There are actions that you can do that gain points and there are actions that take away points.

As soon as you gain about 40-50 points you ordinarily have positioned yourself you be trusted. So lets look at a poor and a good scenario.

What most marketers do is lead by using their MLM company. They meet someone out and about and immediately ask them if he or she keep their options open so that they may puke their opportunity everywhere on them. -5 points. They spam their web 2 . profiles, sending links to their replicated websites. -10 points. They rarely ever end up in the positive point range.

The 3% do things just a little differently. Knowing that its a game and the goal is 40-50 points, the approach is significantly more specific. When they meet someone out and about, they might ask if they're on Facebook so they can connect. That's taking interest in the "prospect". 10 points. Once they connect on Facebook, the "prospect" will dsicover the posts you have made sharing value to others. 10 points. They take a look at your links discover that you've a lot of good information that could help them market. 10 points. They sign up on your list, and you help them get launched with their own blog within the first week. 15 points. You stay in contact with them, through chat and email. 10 points.

Now the truly cool part, they ask you what you do and how they can do it with you. You have already scored over 50 points and at this point they definitely trust you and want to work with you.

Remember its a game, take the pressure off of yourself. Be yourself, have fun, make money and make a difference.
