How Many Articles and how much traffic is necessary for success? In order to answer this question you have to ask some more questions, such as what are the keywords in the article title? How many keywords are in the first sentence of the article? How much competition is there on the particular keyword? How many keywords in the article resource box? How many keywords in the tags, and so on.

You see the keywords are what are going to pull your article up in the search engines based on what the surfers are searching. So they are extremely important in writing articles.

Right along with keywords, however, are the links in your article. You need to be sure that the links point to where you want the surfer to go. However, some article directories do not allow for affiliate links, so if you want this to happen you have to have a domain name, which is not an expensive option. Which directory or directories show up is the answer. The number of listings will also give you a clue as to how many articles you need to dominate the niche.

After working with various article directories you will learn the formatting that they require and it is a good idea to set up your article submitter with this in mind so that publishers will pick up your articles and not decline them because of formatting. Make sure it is all done in a text document, and all will be fine. In regards to submitting articles, remember the important ones are those who have articles posted on the search engines. It is therefore not necessary to spend time and money submitting to hundreds of others.

In addition to the article directories and search engines you will want to get your articles listed on forums and also put out press releases using a lot of the content in your article. Whenever someone reads your article or press release there is a good chance that they will want to know more about you and your work. This is why it is important for you to have links to your site or blog in the article.

After you write many articles people will seek you out directly. This can easily draw people to your site or blog out of curiosity, and could generate a new sale. Eventually word will spread about you and your work and others will be referred to your site or blog.

It will take some time but you can see how the traffic is starting to build and word of mouth advertising for you and your site is starting to spread. Like any other business it takes time for you to build a reputation and get peoples attention, interest, and desire to do business with you.

Remember that the target is the affiliate sales page, not the article.
