Here are some things to look for when choosing an affiliate program. The list below will point you in the right direction.

1. Does the affiliate program offer you a free way to join without buying the

This is very important to me because I love duplication in my down line!

2. Contact other affiliates already in the program to see if they have had any
problems.
If you can talk to someone currently using the program its nice to have some
insight from them!

3. Is the product or service related to your target audience?
You can sell a steak to a vegetarian!

4. Can they notify you by e-mail when a sale is made?
This is very important to me because I like to know the minuet I get paid!

5. Do they offer backend products so you can get repeat sales from the same
person?
Also very important and great to have who doesn't like more money!

6. How often will you receive a commission check?
This does not matter to me that much as long as I get paid at least once a month
I don't like to go longer than that!

7. Do you get credited for a sale if people come back in month and then make a
purchase?
This is very important because a lot of people do not buy the first time they
see the product but after they try it their way and fail they come back!

8. Can you get around-the-clock help online or offline?
Also very important to me because I like to work with companies that care about
me!

9. Do you get a large percentage of each sale as commission?
I don't worry about this as much as long as it is a positive number obviously if
it had a lower commission rate then it would fall to the bottom of my list and
not get as much exposure.

10. Do they provide you with proven sales material? (links, banners, classified
ads, sales letters etc)
Very important to me as well because I don't want to spend all my time writing
and making graphics to push someone else's stuff!

11. Will they give you the leeway to create promotional ads.
Not to important unless you really want to create your own adds!

12. Do they offer you access to an online sales stats page?
I enjoy this feature very much it allows you to fine tune your marketing efforts
and squeeze maximum profits out of your visitors.

13. Do they use a reputable system to track your sales?
Also important you do want to get paid don't you?

14. Does the affiliate program pay commission for sales of people who sign up
under you?
SEE ABOVE STATEMENT 13

15. Can they offer customers a lot of different ordering options, so in return
you won't lose sales.
This is key for a lot of people and should not be over looked!

16. Will they keep in contact with you on a regular basis by e-mail?
Not to important to me other than looking for ne features!

Starting out with an affiliate program is one of the best ways to get your
experience in Internet marketing. Remember if you choose companies that fit the criteria listed above. You have a better chance at getting what you want.
