Did you know that contrary to popular opinion, the greatest thing you need to run a successful affiliate program is information and not money? There are many newbies who have given up prematurely because they misplaced this first essential.

Be you an average online marketer with some modest success in running an affiliate program, a newbie or expert in internet marketing; you are welcome onboard!

I intend to move you from where you are to the level of an expert in affiliate program and internet marketing.

Now, I will start by asking a few pivotal questions; pillars upon which to build my subject.

First, what do you need to be a successful internet marketer? What are some common wrong assumptions in-experienced marketers make to their chagrin? What is internet affiliate program? What's the link between internet marketing and internet affiliate program? How much do I need to run a successful internet program?

Now, to run a successful internet affiliate program, you need 15 ps. Sorry; I can only cover five of the Ps in this article.

P number 1: You need a product: You need to choose a fast selling product that is in hot demand. This is not necessarily the most expensive product out there but a product with a long cookie life for example. This will ensure that it can continue to be linked to your site for a long time. You also need to choose a product with a good commission rate that will be worth your efforts.

P number 2: You need a platform. Every product needs a platform on which to sell. The platform in this case is a website. There are many free sites that will provide you with an excellent platform to run a profitable program.

P number 3: Get good partners. The program by must have partners who supply the products already described above. Several sites like eBay, Amazon and a whole lot of individual and corporate marketers are dying to have affiliates like you to work with. Get cracking. They are waiting!

P number 4: Get a clear purpose. If your purpose is to set new standards, then you work at it much more than a man just looking for a few hundreds of clicks. Your purpose helps you to set a goal for internet marketing in general and an affiliate program in particular.

P number 5: Get a patronage. Your affiliate and internet marketing program is useless without patronage. In fact the quality of partnerships you get will be directly determined by the patronage you can boast of.

Another way to put this is converted traffic... converted traffic is what you need for success. Many folks are crazy about traffic but what is the benefit of mere traffic without conversions. This is what separates the boys from the men!
