Four Design Tips And Useful Facilities To Attract Clients And Continued Business

By: Keyla Londons

Particularly useful for companies within the media industry, clever interior office design is useful as it displays creativity and bravery before a business deal is even proposed. It is also highly beneficial to equip the office with useful facilities as this will further increase the wow factor of the company, as well as upping employee morale.

However, with a slew of companies already taking notice of this necessity, it can be complicated trying to develop a unique design whilst attaining a full success. It is useful to take risks in business, but with office design, it is often difficult to equate the most cost-effective solution. These are my top tips to create a stylish, functional and highly profitable office environment.

4. Wireless Internet (Free/Password Offered in office): The internet is integral to most businesses today; however there are still a large amount of offices that use cable connections instead of wi-fi. Whilst this might seem a logical safety measure, it is somewhat unimpressive for clients - especially as a great deal of them will own smartphones or mobile devices that connect to the internet, generally using wi-fi.

Clients would be grateful to be able to use the internet in your office - however it is important to password-protect your wireless networking, as other companies/individuals could leech the service, but it would be a good service to provide clients with the password. This service will allow them to use online software and check contact emails, potentially speeding up the process of securing their business, providing a benefit to company activity.

3. Art and Sculptures: Bare walls in an office show a lack of imagination and can really benefit from some decoration. Typically, the style of art you choose to put up depends on the field of work you are in - creative agencies might use pop-art, whereas a tele-sales agency may use motivational artwork. In my experience, this can have a great effect, for example - when I worked in a Bristol office where there were a number of portraits painted by staff on the walls. It is important to get a consensus on your choice of art to ensure that everyone will be happy with it.

2. Use Of Company Motifs: You already have the client interested in your business, so why bother reiterating the company name and logo? Simply, repetition helps a name to stick and a company-themed office will demonstrate confidence in the business and impress clients further. This can be seen in a number of offices such as Twitter, who have put company logos on their walls as well as basing their entire office scheme on the colour of their website. It is also a good idea to put previous work onto the walls as well as critic reviews, as this can help to improve productivity with a boost of employee morale and show recognition of good work.

1. Open Plan Workplace: Perhaps one of the best ways to impress clients, an open plan office is a great way to show design skill, as well as encourage staff to interact with each other in an intelligently-designed office space. Especially suited to start-up companies, the dispersion of staff around the office hides any inexperience and is advantageous, as this can show that the company is confident and successful. It can also demonstrate a creative flair, adaptability and a flexible nature - which are all key to the success and continued growth of a business.

It is entirely up to you and your company to fit out your office environment in the best and most effective way to suit your business. These are some straightforward recommendations to consider and will help to maximise the potential of your business.

I worked in a Bristol office in which there was a liberal use of modern art on the wall which proved highly effective. To maximise the effect of the art, it is important to ensure all the staff like it also. The Bristol offices are really spacious and have a great, modern design. You can rent as much as one work-desk to a whole floor in this great location. For more information see following link: www.needofficespace.com/office-directory/bristol-office-space
