Ezine Advertising Resources for Online Marketers...

One of the best online advertising tools in the marketplace today is the common "ezine". What is an ezine? It is an electronically delivered magazine... usually delivered by email. There is a crossover between email delivered newsletters and ezines. The distinction between the two is blurry... but the cost efficient results are crystal clear.

Ezine advertising provides several benefits to the online marketer:

* Precise Targeting... ezines/newsletters are available which serve almost any niche market you can imagine. If there is an interest area, there are one or more ezines which serve the market. For example...if you are targeting the the wellness business you would be interested in lists which target healthcare, fitness, healthy lifestyle, etc.

* Low Cost... most ezines/newsletters sell their sponsorship and/or classified advertising at rates which are far lower than their print cousins.

* Quick To Market... depending on the popularity of the ezine, and the number of ads they carry, your ad can be delivered within days of placing the order... sometimes hours.

* Super Testing Tool... for copy, price, offers, etc. What you learn from inexpensive ezine advertising, you can generally transfer to other media.

Most ezines/newsletters offer both "sponsorship" and "classified" ads.

Sponsorships generally are given top position in the ezine and are priced at a premium over classified ads. Some ezines will also mail your "stand-alone" or "solo" ads which means that your ad will go out as a separate and exclusive email message to their subscribers. This is always priced at a large premium over either sponsorship or classified advertising.

When writing ads for ezines or newsletters remember that you are writing a text classified ad. Your ad needs to be short, punchy, benefit oriented, and have a solid "call-to-action" to be effective.
