Explode Your Downline - It's A Lie!

EXPLODE YOUR MLM - I'm sure you've seen that catchphrase everywhere on the internet. You may have been looking for answers and clicked on these wild ad's to see if they were true. You've probably come across tons of websites making just ridiculous income claims.

Explosions are very violent things. Much energy is released in an instant creating a shockwave that radiates outwards and destroys everything in its path.

Explosions can never be reversed. It's a universal law. And it works exactly the same way in business. Countless business have failed because their growth was unsustainable. They are fueled by greed and ego. And you can't put it back together after it crashes and burns because your reputation has also "exploded". You have to start all over again.

It's unfortunate that many people come into network marketing expecting to get rich quick. Network marketing is about building wealth through personal growth and cultivating leadership. So it's unfortunate that so many representatives promote their opportunities to people who need money. The last thing most people ever need is a business opportunity.

Many network marketing companies are recruitment driven. It's driven by their business model. In such companies, the products are premium priced, but are often promoted mostly to "non-premium people". Nobody can retail the product to customers outside the business opportunity. It is all about getting people into the deal so they could by at wholesale and earn "frequent flyer" style bonus points.

This, and the internet has bred a generation of MLM gurus who wildly claim they can sponsor 20, 30, 50 people a month.

But here's the real deal... Building a long lasting legacy in network marketing is not about you recruiting thousands of people. Even if you're able to sponsor 10+ people every month, most people in your business won't. Long term success comes from sponsoring just 4 or 5 people who will stick with you through thick or thin. In turn they sponsor four or five people, who sponsor four or five people and so on.

In other words, it's all about building relationships. If you play the numbers game and try to recruit as many people as you possibly can, you will never succeed in the long term because you have not built relationships. Relationships are the glue that holds your business together.

if you don't build relationships, your dropout rate will be so high that you would have to work for the rest of your life just to combat the attrition.

The "gurus" don't care about your success. In fact, most of them have never built a downline themselves. Most of them are making all of their money selling internet marketing training.

"Generate 100 leads a day", "Sponsor 20+ people a week without calling a single lead", I'm sure you've seen these all over the internet. Who would believe that? Desperate people, that's who.

The truth is, firstly, these people can't show you how to have these results and secondly, you don't need 100 new leads a day to have success in MLM. It's not about quantity, it's all about quality. Wealth in network marketing is built on people helping other people achieve their dreams. This takes time.

Our modern society is driven by results. For example, we go to grocery store and expect there will fresh fruits and vegetables without even thinking of the process that it took to get them there. We all want success now. Plant today, harvest tomorrow. That's not how a successful business is built. Success is a process.

"Success is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal"

This quote inspires me every time I read it. It reminds me that success is a journey - not a result. It requires consistent, focused, work on a daily basis which over time accumulates to an amazing harvest.
